Abstract

This study examines the treatment of the Iraqi newspaper Al-Sabah on the topics and contents of the issue of violating the sanctity of the Holy Quran in Sweden. Because the media is one of the institutions of social control and oversight, our study sheds light on this incident, to know the journalistic frameworks through which the issue of violating the sanctity of the Holy Quran was presented and to reveal its circumstances, causes and dimensions at the levels. All, so the problem of the research lies in (the way in which the Iraqi newspaper (Al-Sabah) dealt with the subject of the research, and thus our research aims to know how the Iraqi press dealt with the violation of the sanctity of the Holy Quran, by monitoring and analyzing the topics in the Iraqi newspaper (Al-Sabah). For the purpose of revealing the contents and forms of the frameworks of journalistic treatment (of the research sample) selected, which represented the official orientations of the Iraqi government, and was the treatment process objective? Or selective. This study is classified as a descriptive study in terms of type. The survey method was adopted in its descriptive and analytical aspects, using the method of (content analysis) by applying it to the newspaper (Al-Sabah), which has a circulation of (34) issues.
