The Effect of Using E.Turban Model on Mathematics Achievement among Second-year Intermediate Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the effect of the E. Turban model on mathematics achievement among second-grade intermediate students in schools of the General Directorate of Education in Babylon.
To achieve this aim, the following null hypothesis was formulated:
"There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05)between the average scores of students in the experimental group, which was taught according to the E. Turban model, and the control group, which was taught using the traditional method, on the achievement test."
The research community was identified, and Yahya bin Zaid Intermediate School was intentionally selected. The research sample consisted of (68)second-grade intermediate students, (34)students in the experimental group and (34) students in the control group.
To collect data for the research, an achievement test was constructed. The test, in its final form, consisted of (36) items, (28) of the objective type and (8) of the essay type.
Appropriate statistical analyses were conducted, and a t-test was used for two independent groups. The results indicated that students in the experimental group, who studied according to the E. Turban model, outperformed students in the control group, who studied according to the traditional method, on the mathematics achievement test.
