School Principals’ Ethical Leadership and its Relation to Organizational Justice from the Teachers’ Viewpoint

Abstract

The ethical leadership of the school principal and his adherence to educational values ​​are considered influential factors in improving human relations in the school with teachers and students and their sense of justice, which leads to the quality of educational outcomes from the school. The study aimed to identify the relationship between the ethical leadership of the school principal and the value of organizational justice in the school.


 The researcher followed the descriptive correlational approach to describe the relationship between the two variables. The researcher used the scales of ethical leadership and organizational justice and calculated their validity and reliability. The research sample consisted of 95 male and female teachers from elementary schools. The results showed that there is a strong positive correlation between both ethical leadership and organizational justice, and that there are statistically significant differences in teachers’ responses according to the level of academic qualification.The researcher recommended the following:



  • Conducting professional development courses for principals to raise awareness of the importance of ethical leadership in achieving the goals of the school.

  • Taking into account human relations within the school, given their significant impact on the teaching and learning process.

  • Self-education for principals and the need to establish positive relationships with teachers، the environment, and the local community, given its positive impact on the excellence of educational work in the school.
